WORDS
Words like preschool, children, family, and parents should never be used in the same sentences as words like violence, jail, and drugs.
BESEDE
LOVE IN A SOCIETY
/.../ And then I see a man in an interview saying something like "love yourself". I bitterly think that this is easy for him. It's easy to like yourself if you're successful, rich and attractive. That's exactly what capitalist society demands of you, and praises you for it. It's just like the ideals on social networks. But how can an ordinary student who isn't a star in society love themselves when we're taught from a young age, both directly and indirectly, that love is socially conditioned? Let alone someone who is an ordinary member of an 'amorphous mass', and whom many would label 'disabled'? Someone who would be sent to live in an institution at eighteen and paid a disability pension for life, with no chance of becoming 'successful' (in this social order, primarily measured in terms of wealth)? They will love us. If we are successful. If we are beautiful. If we are cheerful and smiling all the time. And when others love us, then we will accept ourselves. But when will we ever be successful enough if we can always be more successful? When will we be beautiful enough if we can always be more beautiful? Can we ever be worthy enough if society condemns us to failure at birth (with a handicap)?
ureditvi meri predvsem z bogastvom)? Saj nas bodo imeli radi. Če bomo uspešni.
Če bomo lepi. Če bomo ves čas vedri in nasmejani. In ko nas bodo imeli radi
drugi, takrat bomo sprejeli sami sebe. Ampak kdaj bomo sploh dovolj uspešni, če
smo vedno lahko uspešnejši? Kdaj bomo dovolj lepi, če smo vedno lahko lepši?
Bomo sploh lahko kdaj dovolj vredni, če nas družba že ob rojstvu (s hendikepom)
obsodi na propad?
RELIGION
/.../ No, I'm not religious. In fact, I'm agnostic, so I claim that man cannot know if there is a god. All devout atheists argue that if God existed, surely he would not have created such an unjust world. Who says that we are the very beings who are modelled on god? What if we are just a by-product of greater, more wonderful? An apostasy? Or has the deity - whatever it may be - simply got bored of us or forgotten us? What if god is evil? Lately it seems so, or at least he has come to hate me.
RELIGIJA
